Initial Explorations
My focus was on medical nanotechnology which made me immediately think about the scale of biology—genes, DNA, and the human body.
These were some previous poster iterations. I felt that they didn't adequately convey the heart of the matter, which is how Nanotechnology relates to you.
Life's Small
Building Blocks
I was consistently drawn to gene sequencing—the biological building blocks of genes using A, T, C, and G. "Entities" implies something larger than life, relaying just how impactful nano-technology is despite its small scale. Then it was clear: we are all made up of these building blocks!
Conference badges for Staff, Attendees, and Speakers. Each individual is reflected in their genetic make-up of A, T, C, and G.
Interactions
To reflect the animated poster, the signage rotates on it's platform and is made up of square "building blocks". The chosen material of translucent plexiglass continues the visual language of depth.
