The Problem
The effects of our car culture on the environment has unseen consequences.
How can this problem be visually communicated to audiences? How can we work together to imagine a greener world?
The Research
In researching the debate between EVs and gas cars, a content map was created to provide a clearer outline of the situation. Looking further into the issue led to a shift away from personal vehicles as a solution and into a focus of a developing a mix of transport.
EVs are not the only green solution.
The Posters
As a result, I imagined a visual world where cars ran free and we were able to see the physical impacts it left. Several issues from pollution to climate change were addressed across three posters in a visually fun and engaging way.
The Brochure
The brochure expands into a deeper look at the ideal mix of transportation on the road. It introduces a hybrid road to the viewer, presenting the space problem of the freeway while offering possible transportation solutions from bus to dedicated walk/bike lanes.
The Installation
The parts of the tire were deconstructed further to expand the campaign language. This hypothetical implementation takes the tire spokes and shaped it in a dome to connect itself back to the ground. It roots the idea of transportation back to the Earth, working with the planet in mind.
